A White Thanksgiving
By Grace Marston
Have you ever had a white Christmas? So snowy and so cold?
Well now it’s very different. Happy White Thanksgiving!
You’re asking over and over again. When is my White Christmas?
Well now it’s very different. You’re asking for Thanksgiving!
You’re cold and asking for Cocoa. It’s a very cold Christmas.
Well now it’s very different. Happy White Thanksgiving!
Brrr! Brrr! It is too cold for me. It’s a White Christmas.
Well now you have a nice, warm turkey!
Happy White Thanksgiving!
Brrr! Brrr! Christmas is too cold for me!
Well now it’s very different. Happy White Thanksgiving!
Snow flakes dropping upon your nose.
Frost bite coming upon your toes.
Well now it’s very different. Happy White Thanksgiving!
Happy White Thanksgiving!
Happy… White __ Thanksgiving!!!

Warm turkey? No.
Cold turkey.
Wild turkey in the snow, ice, wind.
No parka, no mittens, no boots.
Poor turkey, gobble, gobble.
